Panshanger Park midweek 5
Good race although not as fast a course as I expected. Went off quick but then was hanging on for the line really from about halfway, but managed not to slow much. Third counter in the team comp where I think we got third place.
Lovely park, will come back for a park run.
Was definitely a slow course. I beat the marker who ran 30 dead last time in Hatfield by 20 secs, and was 20 secs down on the harpenden guy who ran 29:30. Most people around me seem to have been ~2 mins slower so it looks like I am in about 30 min shape on a flat course.
New shoes were good although as they are soft I think they're probably better for hard surfaces than for soft grass.

Off-road running warm up/down 15:00 [1] 2.5 km (6:00 / km)

Swimming 23:00 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (13:00 @3) 1.0 km (23:00 / km)

the slow lane had been turned into a paddling pool, so I was either going much slower or a bit faster than I wanted to, but about the same overall.
