Note

So I managed to achieve my two goals for the Ethiopia trip:
1. Got to run with and pick the brains of a couple of genuinely elite athletes (29 minute 10k runners at altitude). Firezar especially was a lovely guy and very helpful, not to mention v willing to amble round at my pace.
2. Didn't snap my achilles. In fact it feels like it has improved if anything although I definitely wasn't running freely.

It was a shame not to be able to do any fast running or reps but the drills and strength were really good, and hopefully I will get another chance. God only knows when mind.

Terrain running 40:00 [2] 6.0 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: inov8 f-lite 195

With Firezar again on the other side of the road this time. Just jogging around soggy fields and forest, very misty and kind of alpine, fantastic.
