Cycling long 2:55:00 [4] 76.0 km (26.1 kph)

Surrey Hills ride with Paul. Took in most of the Surrey hills plus a go up box hill which was good.
Absolutely shafted now but thoroughly enjoyed it. Now quite motivated to do something a bit more serious on the bike, maybe ballbuster and/or a long sportive.

Note

Starting to feel quite "long term tired" after bumping up the training for 6 weeks or so. Could do with giving the legs a rest.

Note

Went and bloody did it again! When will I learn. The pool closes at 7 on Friday.

Anyway an accidental rest day wasn't the worst thing as I'm feeling pretty tired.

Oak Hil Park park race
Had a few problems along the way getting stuck in veg and slipping and sliding all over the shop. Definitely the least "parky" race so far!

Road running warm up/down 10:00 [1] 1.5 km (6:40 / km)

Orienteering race 38:25 [4] 5.0 km (7:41 / km) +240m 6:12 / km

SE middle champs
Leith Hill turned out to be much better suited to me and I was pleased with my run. Nothing more than a few hesitations amongst the thickets and high undergrowth, which is good going in a tricky area. Would have liked a bit more speed/strength in a couple of places (e.g. #9) but that was much less important here than in other races.
2nd to Richard Barrett by half a minute or so, which means, I think, that I went bronze-silver-gold in the SE champs, and while the first two were a bit hollow given I ran not so well and finished ~8th, this one feels like a good result.

Off-road running warm up/down 30:00 [1] 5.5 km (5:27 / km)
shoes: Jalas Jukkola

Went for a nice extended warm-down jog as was feeling good.
