London to Brighton night ride
This turned out not to he as hard as I thought it might. Once I got the blood pumping it was easy enough to keep going through the night and 60 miles isn't too epic a distance.

Hardest part might have been waiting to get over the start line, 4,500 people going 20 at a time does take a while. Sohaving rocked up at half 11 it was well after 1 before I was off.

Getting out of London was a pain, plenty of traffic still and the route wad crowded. But he first hill to coulsdon sorted it all out and from then on the roads were nice and clear.

I knew from spinning over from home to Clapham that I was feeling good so just got in a nice steady rhythm and enjoyed it. Was pleasantly surprised to be overtaking large numbers throughout including plenty of much fancier bikes than mine! Some of the descents were a bit dicey in the dark, especially with a mix of abilities and chumps stopping in unhelpful places.

Devil's dyke was supposed to be the sting in the tail. Got to the top and thought that's not too bad really. Then cruised into view of the second part. Got to the top of that and thought it felt a bit more like a sting. Then saw the much steeper third section of the climb with cyclists strung out walking. That was tough but I didn't join the walkers club.

Don't know the exact time but deffo under 4. Quickest did 2:40ish which seems pretty fast. Definitely feel like I could tackle a bigger challenge in the near future, especially if it took place in the daytime!

Primrose Hill park run
Pretty sloppy. Wanted to cruise physically, but also cruised mentally and went badly wrong at #3 and #4 especially.
What a nice evening and race though.

Free to a good home
One entry to the London-Brighton night ride this weekend (Sat 26/Sun 27). I am still doing it but my domestique has bailed. Return transport included. Would suit person with own bike and strange idea of what constitutes a fun Saturday night.
