usual out and back
was right on the limit over childwickbury and thought the elastic was going to snap, but got a second wind and led through town
not the quickest we've done, but under an hour for the 9 miles so also not as laboured as it felt

Herts cross country - Willian
not the most exciting course in the cross country calendar, but it was a good atmosphere heading out with the thursday group
third counter behind paul and speirsy, felt like a bit of a plod/shock to the system, but a bit quicker than two years ago so all good

Lovely winter wonderland run in the snow. Mostly fresh soft powdery stuff apart from a few spots where traffic had turned it to slush.

Left it a bit late in the day so a bit on the short side. Legs still a bit iffy but that’s now probably inactivity rather than post marathon.

SLOW club champs - Wisley
Slow but reasonably solid save for where the veg mapping confused me (#1 and #9).
Still had the jelly legs but felt OK running steadily which is nice. Didn't get a hr reading that I really trust - not sure what's going on with the monitor lately - but the avg feels about right.

Note

Drove over to Southern nights
Realised I'd left torch battery plugged in at home
Half-hearted attempt to find someone with a spare
Drove home
D'oh
