Note

Snow dealings, round 3a: half of my driveway. Not clear if I needed to bother with this, but I dislike whan I drive on the snow and compress it so that the tire tracks take longer to melt. So I blowed just the straight path from my garage door to the street. About 3" of extremely sticky snow, which the snowblower would only toss a few feet, and at one point it plugged up the throat (used to happen often with my old snnowblower, but I'd never seen it before with this one). Didn't bother with the other side of the driveway nor the mailbox, and I'm hoping that Nancy's just melts out on its own, which sounds likely with the predicted warm rain on Saturday. Might have been a setback for potential ice skating conditions, but the rain may remedy that, so there's hope.

Note

Updating my spreadsheet of orienteering races, I noticed that I hit another milestone: 2400 hours of orienteering. That is, of course, the equivalent of 100 solid days. That counts only things that I categorized as races (so not training, course setting, vetting, mapping, retrieving controls, etc.), and although the Ratlum meet appeared to push me over the threshold, I actually hit it some time ago, because there are about 20 meets from the 1980s that I don't have times for.
