Pigeon Roost, Hobbs State Park, AR, Advanced course, 5.0 km, 2nd. Nice open terrain, the only drawback being that the ground consisted largely of loose fist-sized chunks of limestone covered with a layer of leaves. Perfect weather for this as well, just a bit on the cool side so you wanted a jacket when you weren't running. This went mostly great. One big oops (4+ minutes) on #4, when I went too far right but guessed I was too far left (although not finding the trail should have been a clue) and ran up the wrong ridge for a couple of hundred meters. Onve I realized that, it was easy to correct. Then a very small error on #10 where I was looking for a rootstock, and initially ran to a fallen tree that was not a rootstock. This makes 39 states in which I've orienteered at organized events.
