Great Brook Farm Red. Screwed up a couple of them to the tune of a bunch of minutes, OK on the rest, though there may have been the occasional route choice that could have been better. Trying to keep the pace a little light in hopes of being clean, though that clearly didn't work out as well as I had hoped.

To Mom's house through the woods to pick up her car to take it to the repair place to get the brakes fixed. Stuck to a route that was all pretty big trails. Warmish evening, carried a light but arrived before I needed to use it.

Walking back to my house from the auto repair shop. Not really a lot of exercise, I just wanted to put this in to have a record of the distance. Getting pretty dark, so I turned on my flashlight with the beam set to wide angle and held onto the end of the lanyard so that it swung back and forth. That seemed to make me very visible to drivers.

Vetting the Day 1 Boulder Dash controls at Harris Center. At vetting speed. Lots of standing around and scrutinizing stuff. Watch ran out of juice at 4:22, distance is straight-line between controls.

Note

Didn't sleep well, so when it was raining on the tent in the morning, it was a pretty easy call for me to just skip the daytime orienteering; I just wasn't feeling it, and didn't want to wipe myself out for Monday.
