Mystery Blazes loop. Weather was clear all morning, but for some reason I waited until it was snowing moderately and had accumulated enough that the treacherous icy spots were well-hidden, especially by partway through when my glasses were covered with slush (I eventually smartened up enough to take them off -- should have just left them home in the first place). Managed to not fall at all, but I had a few close calls that surely would have sent lesser mortals sprawling. Looks like my time estimate from a few days ago was probably pretty close. I'm guessing that this snowfall isn't going to amount to much around here, but enough to ruin the skating.

Mystery Blazes loop. All snow, hard work postholing between the Lane Brook crossing and the powerline trail, but reasonably well-packed for the rest, except for the Howl trail, which I had trouble even following. I had some sharp pain in my right knee while walking around the house in the morning, which I'm guessing is due to when I caught a skate blade in a crack yesterday and went down on one knee. Didn't really hurt while running. Don't know what the deal is with the time, as my watch read 1:27 when I was done, which is longer than the time I know I was out, so I thought maybe I just hadn't cleared it from the last time I used it, but that was 44 minutes, so that doesn't really make any sense either. Time is therefore a guess.
