running 54:41 [3]
Lane-Horse-Seaver loop, the original classic version. Not pushing very hard, but I was also slowed down by springtime water levels, a little bit of beaver activity, and widespread effects of the ice storm. I was shooting for 55 minutes, but was afraid I'd be over 60. This was the first time I had been on sections of this run for a while, and likely the last time I do it for a while as well, due to a number of places where it's just too much work to get through. The Horse trail is a real steeplechase. I'll probably stick more to the Mystrey Blazes, because it's easier to get around fallen wood over there. There's an impressive amount of excellent potential firewood out there, but it would probably take more energy to cut it and haul it out than what you'd get in the way of heat.
AOWN: flushed a moose! First time I've encountered one on my own stomping grounds, and I passed within 10 meters of it. Too bad I don't run with a camera.
