Howard St. loop, temps in the mid 40s, wore O-pants, light t-shirt, and a stretchy light jacket that got unzipped halfway around. Really pleasant day out. Didn't know if I might be a lot slower than when I had David setting the pace, but it was only a little bit.

Note

No formal exercise lately, because the informal exercise has me worn out. I've been packing and lugging boxes of stuff from Nancy's house and stashing it at my place in anticipation of the sale closing this coming Thursday. Today was the real pinnacle, getting the rest of the furniture out of there, albeit with a number of people assisting, but I did the most work. This has left me exhausted. I believe the expression is "good training".

A little bit of carrying stuff on the beach and up the hill at Wellfleet, but nothing really aerobic. And about an hour and a half of low-load isometric upper-body work in the air...

Note

First time this year that the weather has been nice enough for me to want to walk down to the pizza place to get lunch. I get a pizza or sub there quite often, and walk (2 km round trip) whenever it's practical, meaning not winter, not raining, and not pizza (which is too inconvenient to carry back), but never log it. I set out quite briskly, developed shin splints halfway there, and a calf cramp a bit later. No matter. Probably the winter shoes to blame.

Howard St. loop, with David Ellsworth, after a long day of moving furniture (Nancy's stuff into my ad hoc self-storage facility). Wonderful weather, and David was polite enough to go at my speed most of the time, and to wait up for me on the few times that he went ahead.

Just a quick spin up the street and back, time estimated. After the winter off, I was able to mount first try.
