Double route bonanza today. I did well today, picking both ideal routes. How did you fare?

I drew the route of the winner here, but usually do not. This is a great series that is helpful both for competing as well as becoming a good course setter...

This is a more typical outcome. I choose Mueller's route and got smoked by Thiery, as per usual.

Soccer race 50:00 [4]

Fun game of soccer with Wentzel and MoBiz. Felt surprisingly good out there, perhaps only because I expected not to be able to move after this weekend.

orienteering 2:56:00 [5]

Wow, what an epic event. The longest, most difficult and most competitive race I've done in the sport of orienteering.

Started off with the leaders and ran much of the day with a group of Wyatt, Nicolay, Biz and other dude that ran the whole way with Wyatt, who from the splits was apparently Clem, and he looks that have only raced on Sunday (was particularly fun to run with on course, talkative). I was not able to lead at any point as the other runners were equal or faster in foot speed. The three possum Trot's I had under my belt gave me the tools I needed to stay with the group.

At CP 20 Wyatt and I got a few meters ahead of Nicolay and Biz, and they made their move. It was a move that successfully separated them for the rest of the day.

I ran with Wyatt and Clem until CP 23, at which point I went on a solo mission to attempt to shake things up, as my legs felt pretty good after a few GU roctanes. Although I don't regret it, that cost me those spots. Wyatt and Clem choose a brilliant route that never even occurred to me.

I really enjoyed navigating the final 30 minutes by myself. My pace was slower as I navigated a bit cautiously.

An epic run in great terrain, one of my favorite to date. Biz finished 3rd, an awesome result for MNOC. I was 7th.
