Paddle (River) 1:55:00 [3] 17.0 km (6:46 / km)
ahr:128 max:156 shoes: Endorfinn Ski

Paddle with stevej and matsiv from Middle swan bridge to guilford bridge and back. For some reason it seemed harder today.... maybe the 2 PRS skis I was chasing had something to do with that.

Orienteering race 20:28 [3] 3.75 km (5:27 / km)

Nice steady pace today. Good to be improving each week, getting more comfortable with this navigation business. Only a couple of small hiccups today but corrected fairly early so no standing around scratching my head wondering where the control is. Caught up with stevej after a few controls but I don't have the speed to pass him. He made a couple of very minor mistakes which allowed me to lead for a short time but got back in front at 13. 17 to 18 we made different choices and luckily I came out in front. Overall a good team effort as each of us improved from last time (matsiv wins the award for most improved).
Some minor discomfort with the left knee afterwards so ibuprofen and ice again. It seems to be improving albeit very sloooowly. Will be interesting to see how it holds up with some elevation changes next week.
Almost top 10 this week, so that will be the next target.
Well done to everyone involved in organizing another fun event.

Ride (Road bike) 25:40 [3] 12.4 km (29.0 kph)

Ride from Arena to Steve's. Into strong wind again.

Ride (Road bike) 24:50 [3] 12.4 km (30.0 kph)

Back to Arena with stevej.

Swim (Pool) 35:00 [3] 0.6 km (58:20 / km)

Wasted a lot of time talking so concentrated on some speed work.
Used stevej to pace some faster laps with the pullbouy when he was using flippers.

Strength /Core 15:00 [4]

Condensed version with no gaps as I was short on time tonight.

Paddle (River) 1:10:00 [2] 8.4 km (8:20 / km)
shoes: Endorfinn Ski

Borrowed one of Steve's paddles for a tryout today.
A very leisurely paddle from sandy beach up to Guilford rd bridge then back down river, around the island at the kayak club and back.
Took a while to get comfortable with the paddle but it seemed OK in the end.
I managed to ride the wake from one of the river ferries for a while and that was fun (even got a cheer from one of the passengers).

cross trainer warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Run 18:50 [3] 3.56 km (5:17 / km)

Left knee still not feeling 100% but no pain.
Keeping HR down again (getting easier).
Ice after run, I want to run further when I'm out there but taking no chances.
I might bump it up to 4k next week (will probably run 5 again in the nav dash)

Paddle (Ocean) 1:55:00 [3] 14.0 km (8:13 / km)
shoes: Endorfinn Ski

Paddle from Hilllarys to Ocean Reef and back with stevej, jolt, and matsiv.
Took a while to get comfortable on the ski, but felt very good on the way back. Some small runs on the way which where lot's of fun.
Matt was much quicker on the PRS and I was having to work harder to keep up with him on the way back (the PRS cuts through the water very nicely) . Joel claimed he may be a bit slower today but couldn't hide his good form. Stevej had an rare off day on the water(1st i've seen), so probably another go on each ski would be best.
A very enjoyable paddle, looking forward to lot's more in preparation for this years avon.
