Orienteering 42:39 [3] 7.68 km (5:33 / km) +117m 5:10 / km

Xmas 5 days, Day 5 - 1st

A really nice area to finish with. Runnable pine forest and technical cliffy slopes. I ran well and my head was in the game. Took the overall win.

Running 8:37 [1] 1.56 km (5:31 / km) +16m 5:15 / km

Orienteering 40:24 [3] 6.89 km (5:52 / km) +115m 5:25 / km

Xmas 5 days, Day 4 - 3rd

Snowy Hills - Great area. Low visibility, subtle spur/gully terrain which was real tricky. Made too many mistakes and didn't have a lot of oomph today. Got punished for it.

Running 16:13 [1] 3.26 km (4:58 / km) +14m 4:52 / km

5 PM

Running 14:11 [1] 2.9 km (4:53 / km) +32m 4:38 / km

Orienteering (Sprint) 7:42 [3] 1.8 km (4:17 / km) +3m 4:15 / km
shoes: Asics Cumulus 16 #7 (White)

Ran some of the first day's sprint. Didn't have enough focus though and didn't really gain much from it.

Running (Road) 31:29 [3] 7.68 km (4:06 / km) +57m 3:57 / km
shoes: Asics Cumulus 16 #7 (White)

Ran back to the caravan park. Was in a bit of a rush for Jensen's birthday dinner so pushed it in the heat. Tough.

Xmas 5 days, Day 2 - 1st

Less boring, but more minging and the map wasn't good. Calf does seem to be fine now.

Got bitten by a massive bull ant which was unbelievably painful!

Running 10:09 [1] 2.01 km (5:03 / km) +11m 4:55 / km

Xmas 5 days, Day 2 - 1st

"Long" course with 7 controls. Boring.

Calf was good though.

(injured)

Drove a bloody long way up to near Goulburn in NSW for the Xmas 5 days.

I didn't run the sprint this afternoon because I thought it was a bit of a calf risk so went out on the mountain bike instead.

Found a 333m velodrome just nearby which was a lot of fun. Had a go at some flying laps and the kilo world record. Considering the equipment I was fairly pleased, and can confirm that, % wise, I'm a better track cyclist than I am swimmer.

Running (Road) 41:39 [2] 9.21 km (4:31 / km) +26m 4:28 / km
(injured) shoes: Nike Pegasus 31 #2

Long fun day at the Boxing Day test match. Tired when I got back but went for a little calf tester. It wasn't all that great. Did a bit of loosening of the tight points below the strain instead which I think helped.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Pool isn't open today, so I took a midnight dip in Dights Falls instead.
