Quick trip down to Beeston Parkrun to say hi to a few people before getting the train down to London.

Holy moly I am out of shape! Took the win but tbh wasn't chilling a lot.

The next month or so is gonna be trouble town getting back to something respectable. Will be a couple of weeks before I can settle into a normal routine though.

Steady out to Trent Bridge and back. Not feeling particularly great, but it's really hard to run slower here for some reason. Tight quads but ankle was good.

I've been meaning to run to High Cup Nick for the past 3 years, and today was supposed to be the day until I accidentally overshot the exit on the M6 by about 60 miles.

Bailed to a new route over Woodhead which I've not driven before and tried to find a nice hill run from there instead. I found a route which was nice but there wasn't a single path to be found so I spent my time crawling up a little ravine full of waterfalls and pools before tramping up and down hundreds of peat groughs on top.

All in all it was a lot of fun but it definitely wasn't the best thing for my ankle, which was quite painful towards the end and seized up a bit afterwards. Need to be more sensible/boring for a while I think.
