Note

Another hour plus of laurel wrangling with Zack down at the marsh. Brought the chainsaw this time to clean up some larger stuff. We now have a pretty significant pile, so time to bring the chipper down soon.

I had thought I would run the 5K at Forest Park today, but it seemed too cold to be entertaining this morning. Nicer out this afternoon.

Strange and unpleasant experience after. Got up and couldn't get my balance. After a bit I tried to sit down, but ended up falling over backward. Laid there for a while, and eventually got up very gingerly.

Then I had two more episodes later on, laying on the map rolling the knot in my trapezius with a lacrosse ball. Looking up at the ceiling, the light fixture started moving around in a circle for a while. Waited until it stopped and then tried to get up. Another fail. Just couldn't hold my balance and went down. Then another one half an hour later.

Finally, two more episodes getting up to pee in the night and having to support myself until the vertigo passed.

I'm assuming this may all be related to the fall yesterday and the problem in my neck. But I suppose it could also be the statins that I started taking a couple of weeks ago. Or maybe just nothing, or something else. But pretty unpleasant.

With Rhonda and Tullio at the lake, including a little excursion up the slope and picking our way back down through the clear cut. Tripped and fell quite hard in there, but glad it was me and not one of the others. Landed on my R forearm and no impact anywhere else, but the force of the fall snapped my head back and wrenched my shoulder and neck a bit. Pretty sore after.
