Saturday Mar 24 #

9 AM

cycling 36:00 [3] 7.5 mi (4:48 / mi)
slept:8.5 weight:163.2lbs

More continuing ed
10 AM

Hike 35:00 [1] 2.0 km (17:30 / km)

dog loop with Sassy in boots, in diminishing snow. A few more warm days and I can ditch the boots.
2 PM

cycling (road) 56:22 intensity: (3:43 @0) + (2:09 @1) + (19:36 @2) + (29:54 @3) + (1:00 @4) 12.76 mi (4:25 / mi) +205m 4:12 / mi
ahr:129 max:149

From Pleasant Valley, first time cycling outside in 2018. Took a bit to find all the right stuff, and it turned out I was a bit overdressed for mid-40s. Otherwise very successful. A little pinchy in the low back in maybe the last mile. There is work to be done.

Friday Mar 23 #

Note
slept:8.5

Tiring day in NYC. Home again, but not feeling particularly lively. Tomorrow will be better.
7 PM

cycling (spinning bike) 25:00 [3]

Easy session while watching a movie with Rhonda, just trying to loosen up.

Thursday Mar 22 #

7 AM

cycling (spinning bike) 20:00 [3] 4.2 mi (4:46 / mi)
slept:5.75 weight:164.4lbs

Short partial CE session.

Wednesday Mar 21 #

11 AM

cycling (spinning bike) 40:00 [3] 8.2 mi (4:53 / mi)
slept:5.75 weight:164.6lbs

More continuing ed, interrupted for a while by a phone call.
2 PM

Hike 35:00 [3] 2.0 km (17:30 / km)

dog loop with Sassy, made much more entertaining for her by my pocket full of dog biscuits. Heavy boots in snow makes for a more strenuous outing.
4 PM

cycling (spinning bike) 30:05 [3] 6.9 mi (4:22 / mi)

A better way to watch these continuing ed videos, but I can only take about a half hour at a time.

Tuesday Mar 20 #

9 AM

cycling (Spinning bike) 32:00 [3] 7.1 mi (4:30 / mi)
slept:6.25 weight:165.4lbs

Another continuing ed session. This seems to do my legs a lot of good.
11 AM

Hike 30:00 [3] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)

Dog loop with Sassy, in boots in the diminishing snow.

Monday Mar 19 #

10 AM

cycling 30:13 [3] 6.6 mi (4:35 / mi)
slept:5.5 weight:165.4lbs

More continuing ed. Continuing ed is dull, the spinning bike is dull. The combination is no more dull, so seems like a win.
2 PM

Hike 42:47 intensity: (8:22 @0) + (18:57 @1) + (11:58 @2) + (3:30 @3) 2.43 mi (17:35 / mi) +160m 14:36 / mi
ahr:102 max:137 shoes: 2014 gel kayano

Around the Ann loop with Rhonda. More relaxed pace, in deference to being pretty tired and having some nasty spasms in the left side of my neck and the environs. Not bad, and the legs actually felt pretty good.

Sunday Mar 18 #

10 AM

Hike 20:00 [3]
slept:8.5 weight:165lbs

Part of a dog loop with R&S in boots, some of the snow set up and crusty, some in protected areas still deep and softish, so a little bit of work.

cycling (spinning bike) 30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

On the spinning bike, watching some pretty tedious continuing ed videos. Did this yesterday, too, but didn't log it.
11 AM

Hike 2:04:31 intensity: (3:32 @0) + (1:46:25 @1) + (14:34 @2) 8.22 mi (15:09 / mi) +162m 14:16 / mi
ahr:104 max:119 shoes: 2014 gel kayano

Same as yesterday with Rhonda, but much colder and a few achy spots, so we dialed down the pace a bit.
5 PM

cycling (spinning bike) 30:15 [3] 6.6 mi (4:35 / mi)

More continuing ed
