Kind of sore and stiff today, but Zack got me out for about an hour and a half or so of laurel wrangling, which was about all the physical activity I could handle today.

Blue Hills Traverse. Lucky enough to score a ride up with Clint and Anna Morse. Not a good day physically. My back tightened up on the way up the first hill, and I was only able to walk and not even to walk fast. Navigation was fine. Only place I was a bit off was being low at #16, but didn't lose much there. There are a number of reasons why I may not traverse again, including potential weather problems, the inherent smallness of 1:15000 maps, and how good an idea it is for me to be slogging around out there for 3 and a half hours. But a very nice course, nice to experience the new piece of terrain at the scout camp, good soup after.

A bit more lethargic than usual. Perhaps the assault of the g, perhaps the sense of impending (well disaster is not the right word) difficulty associated with my chosen event for the morrow. At least I have cadged a carpool place with the esteemed botanist.

Rhonda was determined to go swim and spin again, but after a few laps she decided she was too tired, and so after a few more I gave it up, too and we went home. Just as well.

Starting to feel a little more normal. Still extremely slow, but I don't really expect that to change much. Feels really good in the back and shoulders.

And straight into spinning class with instructor Ernie. This was pretty instructive. I could see where this could be beneficial, too. Working a fair amount harder than I would do on my own.
