Woke up with my R quad angry in the spot that I strained it at the corn maze. Fine walking the dog, but a little tender and I rolled it quite a bit. Then I tried rowing and had to shut it down after about 500M, going slower and slower, but still catching. Worrisome with all the O coming up in the next two weeks.

A fair amount of walking today, but reluctant to try running on my sore adductor, strained on the run-in from the last control of the night-o Saturday. Thought about a bike ride, but circumstances didn't line up.

So a chance to get on the board for September with the Concept 2. Not bad, but I can feel the layoff, mostly in my forearms, but also in the butt a bit. I need to work my way up to the 5K pieces that chitown tosses off so easily.

Last round of kayaking at Stanclift for the season. Just paddling around slowly. Being a bit gingerly with my sore shoulder, which seems to be very gradually improving.

A new training protocol as of about a week ago. I had a pretty severe foot injury in 1980, and had not been able to walk barefoot with any degree of comfort since then. However, I had the offending toe worked on a year and a half ago, shortened and straightened, and I was beginning to wonder if I could walk barefoot with any degree of success. A very short outing a week ago, which was a bit uncomfortable, but ok, and then stretching it out a bit each day. This was the third outing of the day today, and the longest so far. Once around the dog loop. About half again as long as it takes at a brisk walk in shoes, but generally successful, and my feet are feeling great. Don't intend to log this generally, but I wanted to record more or less where this started. I assume that this activity will be on hiatus once snow arrives, and maybe much sooner than that.
