Orienteering race 4:28:53 [4] *** 18.85 km (14:16 / km)
203c slept:11.0

The Mega at Pawtuckaway. A stunning achievement by J-J, and a really fine time. A pretty good day for me. Not fast, but kept moving the whole time, and with very few exceptions maintained really good contact.

Orienteering race 57:11 [3] ***
spiked:12/12c slept:7.5

Canoe-O at Pawtuckaway, solo in my kayak. Maybe not the best preparation for the sprint finals, but it looked like the only chance to canoe-o this weekend, and I didn't want to miss it. Took it a bit easy, and left out #12 and #7.

Orienteering race 56:23 [5] *** 7.0 km (8:03 / km)
35c

Sprint finals, stages 1, 2 and 3.

Running 46:13 [2] 4.4 mi (10:30 / mi)
slept:7.0 weight:160.5lbs

Down Bunker Hill and up Hanson to Barbourtown and home. About 10 minutes in my tight hamstring migrated down to my calf, and then around to the top of my shin, and started to hurt quite a bit. Hung in there for another 10 minutes as it got worse, then walked for about 20 until it smoothed out. Doesn't seem like I'm all that much slower walking than running on the uphills. Interesting.

Running 49:54 [3] 5.0 mi (9:59 / mi)
slept:7.0 weight:161.5lbs

down Bunker Hill and up Barbourtown. Down in about 21 and change, up in 28 and change. Hills are tough on me. Still, felt pretty good except for some stiffness in left calf and hamstring.

cycling 1:14:56 [3] 21.33 mi (3:31 / mi)

Out 219 to Granby, down Old Farms Rd to Riverdale Farms to meet Rhonda and Jess for dinner at the Japanese restaurant. Feeling pretty sluggish after massive overeating at a barbecue at Matty's French friends' place in Warren yesterday, but ended up riding pretty spunkily. 17.1 average. No big uphills helped.
