Some TSI, some mountain laurel. We took out a couple of aspens, cleaned up some broken pin cherries, thinned out a couple of maple clusters, then made some progress in the laurel, heading toward the marsh.

This was colonoscopy day, and the advice was light activity today, normal tomorrow. This seemed light enough. Feeling ok, but definitely a little subdued.
Lyckligtvis, missade jag bara en frukost (i går). Dagens var bara sent.

Running with Rhonda, same as Sunday. She started a bit ahead while I was trying to stretch my hamstrings, so catching up to her gave me something to think about. Some trees in the trail, lots of pine branches.

Walking back, including picking up a lot of pine branches, and stopping to wait a bit for a crew that was removing a big tree across the trail.

Zack announced that today was chipping day. We demolished the big pile of laurel that I have been accumulating the last few weeks. Hot and sweaty work.

A bit longer than I thought it would be, particularly because I got down West Rd about half way and ran into where there was still a tree in the wires blocking the road, so back I went and up Wright Rd. Not so bad in level 2 on the ebike, but still work.

4 hospital loops on a 5:15 clock, a little better than the other day, followed by 2x100M straightaway. Hot!

Gym (Weights) 25:00 [3]
Stretching, then 3x8 Romanian DLs 75#, 3x8 regular DLs 105#, 3x8 pushups on the bar, 3x8 each side Bulgarian squats. Had planned more, but the heat was getting to me.

Note
Zack decided it was too hot for chipping, so instead we dealt with three 8” trees that were victims of the storm, an uprooted yellow birch That was otherwise quite nice, a broken pin cherry from the clear cut, and the hickory that had been across the power line on the driveway. Branches all in the chipping pile, rest in 16” pieces in the barn, waiting to be split. Still a few trees left to deal with.

Thought I might go for a ride, but it got late, so this was something that didn’t take too long.
The generator quit around midnight. So now we’re waiting for a generator technician who may not show up until tomorrow, a propane delivery to top up our tank which sits at around 40%, and someone to remove the tree sitting on the power lines halfway up the driveway, which may or may not result in restoration of power. The electric company is saying that most power in the state will be restored by Tuesday night at midnight. Not all that comforting.
