Road bike (commute) 58:10 [2] 27.17 km (28.0 kph)
slept:5.3 shoes: Giant TCR

No rain today, which was lucky since I couldn’t find my dry bag. I found another cyclist on Tonkin Hwy and was slowly catching him but then the git decided to go around the red light at Kewdale Rd and I waited for the change so I eventually caught him at Leach Hwy, where he went through the light although not before almost causing me to fall off my bike when I thought he was going but he didn’t and I hadn’t unclipped. Eventually caught and passed him when he had to stop at Dunreath and I didn’t.

Happy days, amusement for me at the corner of Guildford Rd & Tonkin Hwy (for those fans of Wiley out there):
I got to see camera in action
I got to see camera in action
I got to see

Red light, I got to see flash
Red light, I got to see flash
A car ran a red light, I got to see flash
Double demerits, and the cops get some cash

Road bike intervals (commute) 1:35:31 42.3 km (26.6 kph)
shoes: Giant TCR

I wasn't really up for my progression interval session in KP tonight for two reasons:
-I didn't have my Ay-Ups with me so would have been in darkness, mostly
-The sore calf muscles have shifted slightly to the Achilles after last night and I didn't think hammering up hills would do them any good
-I was carrying a 3L bottle of milk in my pack
-Figured I'd 'taper' for the rogaine since it has helped Andre into 2nd place on so many occasions so it must be working for him

So instead of bailing completely, I changed it up and went for the Roe Hwy intervals instead because I know the Roe Hwy path is well lit. Of course, the lack of any decent lighting on the way to Roe Hwy meant it was a bit of a crawl to get there. I need to get my act together before leaving in the morning next time.

I was originally billed for 5x5km in KP but Roe Hwy is well built for 3x4km w/3min recoveries.
1-35.3kph
2-36.6kph
3-36.3kph

Surprised the last one was at a decent clip because I had to take two dark areas on corners quite slowly.
