orienteering race 54:40 [5] 6.2 km (8:49 / km) +80m 8:17 / km

Stockport city race. a really good area and course; had to keep concentration all the way round; mistakes on 13, 14 and 15 (and other places too numerous to mention), but pleased with result: 12 out of 20.

Actual distance 8.5k.

running warm up/down 12:00 [2] 2.0 km (6:00 / km)

to start and back twice before and after with MuddyFox.

warm up for silkstone shuffle; 3 laps of the cricket pitch; quite a hot day.

running race 39:44 [5] 7.15 km (5:33 / km) +300m 4:36 / km

silkstone shuffle 2. just beat my previous time by a few seconds. pushed quite hard on the way out - uphill for the first 3k (horrid) 19:03 at 5:59 mins per k, then had no energy left for the downhill 20:41 at 5:12min/k. had nothing left at all at the end.

usual "slow ladies" group at harriers; lots of chatting; lots of stops; not much running (hope they don't read this), but just right after a hard run earlier in the week. up to loxley common over to damflask reservoir (almost) and back along loxley valley. nice evening for it.

from home, goodwin, commonside, lower walkley, round back of bolehills, up tinker lane, round back of allotments, up to crosspool, down to ranmoor and home. a hard route with a big hill, but felt strong and good pace.
