4 PM

running 30:56 [4] 6.0 km (5:09 / km)

Sunday Sep 26, 2010 #

Note

Saturday Sep 25, 2010 #

Thursday Sep 23, 2010 #

Note
(sick)

Sunday Sep 19, 2010 #

11 AM

orienteering race 1:02:29 [4] 8.96 km (6:58 / km)

Hampstead heath. A nice course, and tricky and I made tons of mistakes.

Saturday Sep 18, 2010 #

12 PM

orienteering race 1:11:13 [4] 13.0 km (5:29 / km)

3rd City of London race. Probably the most enjoyable race I have done. Long, fast (for me) and error free (just a couple of sub-optimal route choices). Great weather and superb location!

Set off at a steady pace, and actually could have pushed harder, earlier. Sped up for last couple of controls, and probably could have dne so sooner.

Really pleased to finish half way down on the men's open, and with one of the straightest splitsbrowser lines ever :)

8k advertised distance - ran much more than that and garmin and sport track disagree (common in built up area) as to how far I ran. so i have put 13 as an average.

Thursday Sep 16, 2010 #

5 PM

running 29:39 [4] 5.95 km (4:59 / km)

from home, the 6k time trial. felt like I was running rather than jogging for the first time in ages! not a PB for this route, some way off it i think, but I started out at intensity 3 and built up to 5 by the end, so not flat out all the way.

knee felt a bit dodgy at the start - think i jarred it, along with most of the rest of my body yesterday when I fell at the O.

6 PM

orienteering 45:50 [3] 5.11 km (8:58 / km)

trg at limb valley. v dark and slippery.

Just over a week til 9 edges :O ...

Sunday Sep 12, 2010 #

11 AM

orienteering race 2:39:00 [5] 22.5 km (7:04 / km)

Ultra long O at Ibstock, Leicestershire. There was an option to cut the route short to 15 rather than 20k towards the end, and I took it! Good training. Forgot to wear long trousers and got a bit scratched.

Saturday Sep 11, 2010 #

running 16:00 [3] 3.2 km (5:00 / km)

mile marker from home

Thursday Sep 9, 2010 #

running 52:24 [4] 9.43 km (5:33 / km)

Wednesday Sep 8, 2010 #

4 PM

running 17:00 [3] 3.3 km (5:09 / km)

to the mile-ish marker and back

Monday Sep 6, 2010 #

6 PM

running 43:00 [3] 6.1 km (7:03 / km)

Last trunce of the season; a good turn out for fancy dress, though were regretting the skimpiness of their costumes as the rain poured down! I just jogged round to see how it felt after yesterday, a good one min per k slower than best.

Sunday Sep 5, 2010 #

10 AM

orienteering race 2:06:00 [5] * 21.68 km (5:49 / km)

Half M orienteering in richmond park. i love this event. not as fast as last year, i got slower as the race went on, just didn;t have enough energy. but i got round without injury, and I beat some proper runners who kept making stupid route choices (or just going the wrong way).

Edit: looking at splitsbrowser confirms what I thought - started strongly, first 5 controls, first 20 mins, then slowed considerably. Should've carried some gels I think.

Saturday Sep 4, 2010 #

3 PM

walk 1:40:00 [2] 10.0 km (10:00 / km)

to sheffield station and from richmond to kingston, all with heavy bag

8 PM

Wednesday Sep 1, 2010 #
