Mountaineering 5:18:52 [1] 11.9 km (2.2 kph) +1145m
shoes: Boreal Zanskar Boots

Pretty decent day, weather-wise, with just a bit of cloud drifting around the tops. Followed the Silvretta glacier up and over to Piz Buin (3312m), with a short scramble to the summit. Quite a popular peak with loads of other people summitting from the Austrian side. Then down the glacier again to Wiesbadenerhutte, beer & keizerschmaren (fried waffle dough with apple puree). Heaven!

I've moved over to Switzerland for some alpine climbing with Fi & Craig. Main objective in a few days time but some great weather today so went up the Silvrettahorn (3244m). Long walk-in from Klosters Platz up to the Silvrettahutte and then another 800m vertical along the glacier with a final steep snow gully to the top. Staying in the hut tonight and continuing on a 3-day tour from here :)

Legs are TIRED from all the climb, so opted for something flatter & faster today. Still some short steep paths, but nice and flowy most of the way.

Hiking 4:53:00 [2] 20.9 km (4.3 kph) +1300m

Hike/scramble along the Cadini di Misurina, a really fun little route following ledges, cables and ladders, through loads of small passes. Some snow still around in the gullies, which required some care. Got to see the Tre Cime from a different angle too :)

Was keen for a long one so pretty much reversed the last third of the Lavaredo Ultra Trail which is happening in 2 days time. Took in 11 high passes above Cortina with some amazing flowing singletrack track and also tough sections of loose scree. Must be a pretty awesome race to do!
