Today we visited Delphi (well worth making sure the route went past here) and since even a rather rushed visit took us 2 hours, we had to break up the day to avoid the heat. First section was the 10km, 400m climb to Delphi itself, which we did before the opening time and were the first ticket-holders of the day. Then 2 hours admiring the ancient ruins and museum, followed by another 11km, 400m climb up to Arachova, which we reached at 11ish. We enjoyed that town (and lunch + a few beers) and eventually rolled out at 4pm for the mostly downhill/flat final 60km to Aliartos. Really impressed by Delphi and all the mountains in this area - wasn't expecting that at all! Final day into Athens tomorrow...
