Road Running race (PnP Marathon) 3:27:29 [3] 42.2 km (4:55 / km) +370m 4:43 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15

It was pouring when I woke up but turned into an overcast morning without any rain - pretty perfect for running. Tried to keep the pace comfortable and treat this as a training run. Quite an undulating course though, with many short, steep hills.Went through halfway in 1:41:28, so pretty even splits if you exclude the ~5min toilet break I took at the 32km mark.

Placed 190th out of 2,019 runners.

Orienteering race (AR Club Summer Series #3) 51:57 [4] 9.5 km (5:28 / km) +150m 5:04 / km
spiked:43/47c shoes: Asics Gel Fuji Sensor #2

Pushed pretty hard but missed one of the bonus controls (didn't see the clue at #32). Also lost about a minute when trying to get away from Alex and running straight past a control :-)

In hindsight, running the map clockwise would have worked better for the bonus controls. Less doubling back uphill to fetch them.

Kept the pace nice and easy but felt like I was going to chunder for most of the second half. Big lunch = bad idea..
