My first official half marathon. Went into the race with niggly calves and knew it was a tough, hilly route, so took it easy to start with. The 7km marker surprised me at 32:47 so I thought I might as well push for 5min/km. Some looong hills on the 2nd lap made the going pretty challenging though! Beautiful route through the leafy suburbs and past massive mansions around the Westcliff. Pushed hard up the last hill when 1:40 was in reach and got it spot on :-)
