Trail Running 1:03:49 [3] 12.5 km (5:06 / km) +85m 4:56 / km
ahr:171 max:186 shoes: Salomon XT Wings

Evening run down (and back up) the Braamfontein Spruit, starting at Emmies. Today I felt like I could go on running forever - awesome! But it seems that I'm alternating bad and good runs, all of them a few days apart. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Climbing 45:00 [2] +50m

Afternoon climbing at Radioactive crag, Pelindaba. Took it easy as I was teaching Alex & Wally to belay while I was lead climbing. Also witnessed a schoolboy having his head split open and shoulder dislocated due to falling rock from above - that's why we wear helmets at ARs people! 14, 14, 12.

Road Running 1:03:53 [4] 12.4 km (5:09 / km) +170m 4:49 / km
ahr:180 max:194 shoes: Salomon XT Wings

Late afternoon run through Atholl and Melrose. Much hillier than my other route but I think it's the first 4km of mostly downhill which tired out my core and made me suffer for the rest of the run. Didn't enjoy this one at all...

Climbing 45:00 [3] +30m

Late afternoon climb at Strubens 2. Managed to onsight a 21 there and then Robbie climbed an 18 in the dark. No headlamps so the walk out was pretty interesting... 16, 16, 21.

Road Running 40:03 [3] 8.2 km (4:53 / km) +65m 4:42 / km
ahr:174 max:190 shoes: Salomon XT Wings

Evening run through Melrose and Killarney along my usual route. Much better this time with the heart rate behaving normally again...
