Buttermere Sailbeck. Difficult to judge how well I was doing because I wasn't around anyone I normally am at any given point, so just tried to push on when I could. Lovely sunny day though, thoroughly enjoyed it and felt strong on the climbs - clearly the hilly weeks re starting to pay off.

1 mile jogging about warm-up, then "threshold reps" (i.e. running faster than a bimble, but not flat out). 5x1 km, 1 min jogging between, on the railway and back through the woods.

Want to get back into doing speed sessions again, but the lower belly pain I got during the last couple I did put me off for a few weeks, hence threshold rather than top speed reps.

Note

Small mammal trapping and squirrel transects in the AM. Got really rather cold, so despite defrosting in the afternoon, was ready to spend the evening warm, dry and eating garlic bread.

Doms have arrived from Saturday. Doing a bat walk at uni tonight, so morning potter up Latrigg. Said hello/good morning to 7 groups of people and got one response - grumpy sods. Quads tired. Bit wet for Roclites, came down through the woods, slipped on a corner and fell into a gorse bush. Hmph
