Jura!
Survived OCT in one piece this year, so spent the week between the two largely sitting down (apart from the cycling yesterday). Was aiming for around 5 and a half hours initially, though started pushing for a PB near the end (missed it by 2 minutes, not helped by not remembering what my PB was!). The bog at the start seemed boggier than another years, but I got off to a better start and was just generally much happier than last year (not fretting about an injured knee helps). Although I couldn't really have gone much faster uphill, I never felt like I was truly on the verge of blowing up (despite being quite unhappy on the road run, but that was more due to tiredness and heat), so the endurance is definitely there. Got led off Pap 3 on the route to the left, which is good, apart from when I decked it down the scree and bashed up my leg - less good, but at least I managed to avoid hitting the large rock I caught myself on with my face (it was close though). Managed the heat reasonably well, did have to stick my head in one of the little tarns before Cora Beinn (sp?) though - I apologised profusely to the tadpoles that I disturbed. The run from the last hill to the road was an absolute bog-fest- feel a bit better since it apparently wasn't any better for Anwen who was there an hour ahead of me!
Myself and Vic were recognised by the (Achille Ratti) marshals on Cora Beinn as "the ladies who take their clothes off in Angle Tarn" (from OCT, an interesting reputation to have)
