Running race 17:50 [3] 3.1 mi (5:45 / mi)
shoes: Asics, Hyper - XC

Today was our state class meet for X-C. I finished 18th out of 149. I didn't do as well as I should have. I was planning on keeping up with Andrew Hill who is my speed, but somehow he got 51st when he was expect to get 4th or 5th. So that screwed me over. Also my team wasn't very supportive of me getting all state because they were saying that I would have to practice alone with coach with for a week and how terrible that would be.

So my X-C season for this year is over. I was told to take at least a week of from running how. So I will start that on monday since I an orienteering A-meet tomorrow.

Running 22:00 [3] 3.0 mi (7:20 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 1010

Today we didn't have an official but the whole team went to the middle school regional championship race to check out our up coming runners. The kid that finished first is going to be coming to woodstock so that good.

But today for running we ran around the course to watch the middle schoolers run. Otherwise we didn't do to much. And I was guessing on how far and long we ran.

Note

Coach didn't want to do 3 long runs in a row, so we did fart licks on the track today. They were really easy it was just boring.

So first we did a one mile warm up, 25 jumping jacks, stretched, and 30 pushups. Then we ran another mile to warm up, and ran did two and a half miles of fart licks. We jogged the curves and did strides for the straight aways. When we finished we did 25 pushups and did a mile cooldown.

Today we had a hard workout. We did twelve 400's, each set progressively faster. The first two 90 seconds, 3ed + 4th 85 seconds, 5th - 8th 80 seconds, 9th + 10th 75 seconds, 11th 70 seconds, and the 12th in 65 seconds or faster.

So we did a mile warm up, 25 jumping jacks, stretched, and did another mile warmup. Then we did our 400s while walking a 100 and jogging a 300 in between each one.

At first it was easy, but by the end it was terrible. After the workout we did 25 pushups, did a 1.5 mile cool down, and went home.

Running 30:16 [3] 4.26 mi (7:06 / mi)
shoes: New Balanced 1010

Coach told us to run for about 35 minutes today, so I got up to 30. I knew I was running too fast but I didn't want to slow down.

I warmed up, stretched, did 35 pushups. Then I ran four miles. When I got home some of my neighborhood friends were roaming my back yard for some reason. So I walked around for a bit and checked out the sand banks for this winters sledding.
