Note
slept:8.0

We were at the Emme this afternoon with Christian, Eliane and Cyril. I wanted to do an easy jogging in the evening and convinced Mikee to come with me. Once we started, My stomach felt bad again, and we went for a walk instead.

Note
slept:14.0

No fever - tired but ok otherwise. Wow such a big difference in only one day. I seem to be lucky!

Friday Jul 16, 2010 #

Note
slept:6.0 (sick)

Must have eaten something bad. Had a bad night, and now I always need to know where the next bathroom is.
No training today, and tomorrow only if I can start eating right again this afternoon.

Note

It's not only a "bad-eaten-thing": fever, everything hurts, and dizzy. Made my way to Basel for 90' of work, when I couldn't anymore. Was back home around noon.

5 PM

climbing 1:00:00 [0]
slept:7.5

@Falkenflue above Duggingen with Bernd. According to the guidebook, the walk up from the station was 20' and our first route a 5a.
We needed 30', and I was not able to do the 5a ... frustrating. Because Bernd is a beginner, I did not go to the limit.
- 2x 5a - up to the last bolt, then Bernd toproped, and I got up again to get the gear back
- 2x 5c - this was a really nice route, feeling like 6a or 6a+. the top was not equiped good enough to take out the gear. Bernd did not make it to the top, so I had to go again.
- 4a ok, but this time too easy for both of us
8 PM

hiking 45:00 [1] 2.0 km (22:30 / km) +300m 12:51 / km

Up to the rock (30') and down after the climbing (15' jogging to catch the train)

To Hasle-Rüegsau and back, where Mikee and me went swimming in A pool of the Emme. Very refreshing.
7 PM

running 1:08:00 [3] 11.5 km (5:55 / km) +200m 5:26 / km
shoes: Asics Enduro

Bütikofen-loop with Mikee and Christoph. The Uphill to the Färnstu was tough like always. Tried to stay on Chris' heels.

12 PM

swimming (River) 15:00 [1]
slept:7.5

In the Rhein in Basel. From the Wetzsteinbrücke to Dreirosenbrücke. Much warmer and slower than the Aare in Bern. But a nice lunchbreak for shure.
9 PM

running 1:00:42 intensity: (50:00 @2) + (10:42 @5) 8.0 km (7:35 / km) +200m 6:45 / km
shoes: Adidas gore-tex

4x fast uphill: 2:45, 2:42, 2:41, 2:34
thought I have to fight for the last one to be as fast as the others. Turned out that I was not as tired as I had thought.
50:00 warm up, cool down and jogging down between the uphills.

6 AM

running 40:00 [2] 6.0 km (6:40 / km) +50m 6:24 / km
slept:6.5 shoes: Asics Enduro

Instead of taking the usual train at 6:20, I did an early training. Fresh and cool air. Have to do this more often during these hot days. Came to the office an hour later than usual, but having trained already, this felt ok.
Short Burgdorf-Loop (Gyrischachen).
8 PM

strength 30:00 [1]

Core, back, feet/ankle and legs (ropeskipping on matress)

climbing (Bouldering) 15:00 [0]

@home between the strength-series.
My shoulder feels ok - can do more climbing again.
It's better to do endurance-climbing than work on hard moves like you usually do while bouldering - especially outdoors.
Working on one boulder problem till you can do it is fun but dangerous for the body.
