ACT long distance champs
first few very sloppy but by 7 was alright. won the long leg by 40secs and went sort half way between straight and track. good choice i think.
most was good but some small errors and stopages for ankle etc.

• Pretty happy with this. Had some small drifting errors but otherwise good. Caught hoggsta around 10 and made sure I was still on top of nav when I was with him and dropping him. So I did end up being too careful with the nav at some stages that lost a bit of time. Was feeling a bit weak in the forest especially on the hills and r calve was a bit tight and sore throughout the race. Ended up coming in 55sec behind Craney and 17 infront of a recovering shep. Will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow at the tough technical long. More nav stuff rather than speed. So I think shep will peform better seeing as there isn’t as much pure running as there was today.

Mona Fartlek session.
went pretty easy on the float cause didnt wanna kill it for the weekend.

session was 90on 90 off x2
60on 60 off x4
30on 30 off x4
15on 15off x4

wasnt too bad...probs needed to speed u[p the floats.
shin was a little sore durning the warm up but fine for ever after

4x5min w 1:30 float

did it with craney which was so good actually. really nice to have someone to run with. got my arse out of the door and into some pretty good pace.
was a bit sore after the weekend. so was thinking doing about 3:30min/k for each int. craney was a sneaky bugger and pushed it to do between 3:15 and 3:18 for first 3. on no. 3 he out ran me by a mile but i was still doing 3:15. last one wasnt so good...3:28 but still faster than intended. we both almost demolished some fella with his headphones on during no 2 but just missed him.

keen to do some more sessions with craney, he is a speed to aim for, but not too fast like marty. maybe hit up some tempos or something next time.
