Orienteering (NEOC Blue) 1:19:05 [3] 7.7 km (10:16 / km) +260m 8:47 / km

Oh dear... Mt. Tom beat me today. I was dead. Achilles sore and calves dead. Made 2 stupid mistakes on 2 and 3. Then 8 the circle covered up part of a cliff that was really distinctive so that screwed me way up. Then 9 I just didn't read my map enough, but I quickly recovered. It was just a sloppy day.

Orienteering (Control Pick up) 15:00 [3]

Picked up the far out blue/red controls. It was REALLY hot so I felt gross, my calves were also dead. And carrying controls is tough! They weigh a lot more when you're running back to the car.

Note
(injured)

Achilles needs one more day to heal, so no hard running today. Also, bad plantar fascia problems (shoes around the house no longer work). Not quite sure what the solution for this will be, but my superfeet insoles aren't even helping... I'm deleting the strength workout [ :( ] but I think by taking any strain/stress away from the area will help.

Note
(rest day)

So I decided to take today off and do intervals tomorrow because of my leg. My left plantar fascia has been bothering me a lot (mostly just in the morning) so I've been using the tennis ball a lot.

Strength 15:00 [3]

I'm actually writing this on monday just to make sure I actually do this workout... It's logged, which means I did it! Right? it'll get done.

Running 36:25 [3]

So my HRM died... twice... so I don't know my average HR :( I'd guess it was around 170-175 though. Anyway, the run was good, exact same as monday's (only a bit faster and maybe 300m longer). Both achilleseseses felt tight so running was uncomfortable (not to be confused with painful). I've been stretching them, though, so i shoul be alright. Not sure about intervals tomorrow, though... :S

Running warm up/down 13:27 [3]
ahr:154 max:175

Jogging to the school and back

Running tempo 21:42 [3] 5.4 km (4:01 / km)
ahr:186 max:199

Very nice threshold run around the track! I felt great! It did get kinda hot but that was alright. Originally I was going to do 6x900m with each 900 in 3:40. But I was feeling so good after my first one that I decided to do 7:20! I was doing the math in my head and figured I only needed to do one more rep at 7:20 (which of course is wrong. I ran the first 2 1800s in 7:11 each which is just faster than threshold so I'm not supposed to be able to think). I realized I what I needed to do, though, so I ran 2 1800s then 2 more 900s (I know that math is right...). My stomach wasn't feeling too good while I was going, though (and it still isn't 2 hours later) and I'm blaming it on the really bad chicken tender ranch wrap I had at lunch...

Running 40:45 [3]
ahr:167 max:190

A nice run at mud pond. Just jogged around, checked out a few new trails. I felt like I was running at an 8min/mile pace but my HR seemed lower than normal so maybe I've gotten better! :D

Strength (Kemp W.O.) 15:00 [3]

WAHOO! I did the 3/4 workout on my first try! I absolutely hated it, but I feel great now!!! I'm thinking I'll do it on my easy days (mon, wed, fri) for a while then either do it more often, or increase to a full w.o.
