Orienteering race (Middle) 29:27 [4] 3.9 km (7:33 / km) +125m 6:30 / km

An excelent race! I felt great! I thought the orienteering was very easy, no where near normally middle dificulty, but I was running at the point where I could barely orienteer (threshold?) and it felt really good!

Orienteering race (Sprint) 13:06 [4] 2.5 km (5:14 / km) +50m 4:46 / km

Good race, just slow...

Running warm up/down 26:00 [3]

12:15 to the start and then running back. On the way out, I went across the golf course. I glanced back (wierd feeling) and there was a golf cart following me. I knew it was the owne (somehow) but payed no attention. He musta been really surprised when i ran off the golf course down into a reentrant... HE said "Hey! don't run here. People are golfing. Off season is ok, but not now." I said "ok" about 20 times. But I think what really weirded him out was that I took off into the woods! haha.

On the way back, i had an equally bad encounter. I couldn't go back across the golf course, but i knew of a trail that would lead me to a neighbohood about a mile and a half from my house. I almost made it out of the neighbohood... A man was working on his car, I looked ove and he yelled "Hey!" I was wondering who he was talking to... I hadn't done anyhthing wrong... Then i saw the dog....I'm sure that normally it is very nice, but it sure wasn't right then. I used my runner instincts and actually ran at the dog an yelled at it. a lot of "HEY!"s an "GET BACKS!"s after yelling "Come!"a few times, the owner decided to WALK over and get his dog. I just ran off...

Orienteering 36:00 [3]

Awesome run! It was a bit late (7:45) when i started running but I loved the woods! I did really well and nailed all of the contols. I skipped the last two because it was getting really dark and I din't wana cross the big ugly marsh...

Orienteering 39:31 [3]

Had my mom plan out a course where we were going to run. I ran it in 30 min and felt good and fast. I didn't wea my HRM because it doesn't seem to do well through the woods (falls down etc.) My foot only hurt a bit, but never any real pain, more of just an annoyance. The course went well. THe map is iffy in area's, though (i'd know, i made the thing) so parts were tough. It was a 1:5000 so reading was easy, but finding features on the ground was tough. THey just weren't as big as you'd expect. In genreal, though, good fun run!

Biking warm up/down 16:03 [3] 5.0 km (3:13 / km)

Biked to catamount (for the run) and back. mainly because there was no car for me to commandeer... but also because I wanted the easy warm up.

Running (Woods) 32:12 [3]
ahr:182 max:198

A good run through the woods! It got really boring without a map or preset path... But it was hilly enough (especially towards the end) that I felt that i got a good, quality workout.

Event: Billygoat

Orienteering race (Billygoat) 1:36:27 [3] 10.7 km (9:01 / km) +305m 7:53 / km

YAY! Billygoat! My foot didn't hurt either! I took the right fork and skipped 15. The forking was wierd, I never actually knew it was there... I just automatically went for the better one (yes, right was better). I never really had any significant mistakes besides 20 (that was pretty bad...). But in general, it was a good race. I was moving quickly and reading my map well. I was behind/near people for most of the race, but not following (except for the 1st 3...).
