Orienteering 12:43 [3] 2.4 km (5:18 / km)

Incredibly frustrated before the race. Had to make numerous incisions into the back of my right o-shoe and had to return to the car 4 times to make the proper adjustments. That said, I had an amazing race. I felt very calm throughout and was orienteering the typical way I do for sprints.... Run straight.

Orienteering race 45:04 [3] 4.8 km (9:23 / km)

A terrible race in my opinion. Started out with a slight bobble on #1. 2, ok. 3, ok-bad. 4, ok. 5 very bad. 6, ok-bad. 7.good. 8, good. 9, good. 10, ok-bad. 11, good. 12, ok-bad. 13, very bad. 14, bad. 15 bad. 16, ok (lucky). 17, bad. 18, good. 19, very bad. 20, good.

When I went back over the course, I realized why I wasn't doing well. I wasn't using the large obvious features, beacons, so I could easily get off, or I just went too slow. During my own personal review, I looked at the things I should have used in order to have a good race. The AP splits say I lost 5:05 which would have put me 39:59 which is right about where I should have been had I gone slower and been more careful. Although I don't think I could have competed with Nate today, I could have finished in the 38:00 range with a good run.
