Running 52:00 [3]

Pre-breaky run from a friends to home. Finally a decent enough run and I feel so much better already! Frosty but sunny morning with blue sky, so good to be out running :)))) Shouldn't have felt the hills and distance in my legs like I did but I expected I'd have lost a fair bit of speed and strength.

Note

Update on the schnoz: Went to an ENT specialist on Thursday afternoon and he seems to think he can kill it all off with more drugs. Hopefully a quicker (and much less expensive) way to go! He thinks two weeks and it should be back to normal, and I have a backup if not. Feeling a bit better the last two days though already!

Pre work jog

cycling 1:00:00 [3]

At the gym, 5min standing 5min seated increasing the resistance each time. Nothing too intense but I needed to feel like I've done something quality ish.

Strength + Conditioning 55:00 [3]

'Mind body' class. Started with a little bit of yoga and then was pretty much just a Pilates class with a heap of theraband use. I actually loved it!

Note
(sick) (rest day)

So! Turns out I have 'polyps' in my maxillary sinus'. Apparently they often grow from recurring infection or as an immune response and can cause asthma, so that makes sense why I'm still coughing a bit too. Have an appointment with a guy in Sydney tomorrow to see about having them removed, fingers crossed it can happen real soon.

Another fun fact Josh found though: Sinus polyps most often occur in people over 40 years of age AND are twice as common in men as they are women. What a joke hahah

Also, turned my pre-work-jog alarm off and slept for 9.5 hours last night, think it was worth it.

Note
(sick)

Today marks 7 weeks of being sick, gah. Went back to the doctor today and had a CT scan of my sinuses and a chest x-ray to check there's nothing blocking anything. Also got given another lot of antibiotics. Fingers crossed this is the end of it!

Running 40:00 [3]

A bit like yesterday, feeling super flat but really enjoyed myself when I got out there. Think my cold is a tiny bit better today, maybe... Ended up being a bit of a race against the clock to get back to pick Josh up from the train. I crushed it.

Strength + Conditioning 20:00 [3]

Glutes and core when I got home. Day one of my little comeback went ok!

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Orienteering race 59:56 [3]

Woke up feeling incredibly fatigued and not at all keen for this. Went out just wanting to finish and kick start a bit of a comeback but by about half way around I started to really enjoy myself! Still not feeling particularly spritely but the fact it was a little less hilly meant I could still plod around consistently and not feel too exhausted. A lot better nav today which probably helped how I felt at the end too.
