Running 13:02 [3]

UTA 951 - The brutal finish of the other races up the the 951 Furber stairs. My lord it's hard, definitely a bit mad I struggled that much and I hadn't run 50 or 100 beforehand! Not the optimum fuel for my body though that's for sure, I'm claiming the 4am start to the day and 1 piece of raisin toast before 1pm contributed at least a little.

Running tempo 57:20 [3]

15min jog, 2x 12min tempo with 2min between, jog home. Felt much the same as yesterday but it was an hour earlier so I was maybe even slightly less awake. The body just felt a bit fatigued all over, but I was pleased that I was able to push through it today! Ended up being a pretty alright session!

Headed to the blue mountains after uni today so not too sure how much running I'll be doing the next few days.

Running warm up/down 35:00 [3]

Ugh, very quickly realised in the warm up that it was going to be a tough morning. Legs were just super super tight and weren't really sparking up at all. 15min jog and some drills warm up, a few minutes walking (because I was gone) and then a jog home for the warm down.

Running intervals 25:00 [3]

5x 4/1. It went as poorly as the warm up had me thinking it would. Had zero push, and even my arms and back we're feeling tired!? I think my core strength has deteriorated and I'm getting exhausted a lot sooner when I'm running maybe. Also have to make sure I stretch and roll more, every muscle was so tight! Got it done, but not chuffed at my pace...

Note
(rest day)

Just an evening stroll with mum. Pulled up ok after yesterday apart from my right inner quad (I don't know if I can call it that...), but nothing too bad!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Slacked off on the warm down again, it's become a bad habit!

Orienteering race (NSW Long) 1:13:58 [3]

I SAW AN EMU! So cool! 9.3km with 6 controls in fast, open gully spur. Really enjoyed the first three but a few extra controls thrown in about then wouldn't have gone astray, don't quite understand it... a nice terrain change from yesterday though. Poor route choice decision to four and I lost more time than I should have by accidentally going wider than planned which meant I didn't end up saving much climb. Then lost concentration to five and was super hesitant and kept stopping way too early. Recovered ok on the last leg though thankfully, and relatively pleased at how my legs held up.
