Maitland parkrun again. A 2 second improvement on last week, this is going to be a long process... Felt a bit more comfortable before the turn around this week but I didn't realise quite how much I dropped the pace at times, especially between 3-4km. Struggling to hold on at the end and got overtaken by kim in the last 100m, oops. Another really nice morning for it though!

Was going to just stroll to clear my sinuses but it was real cold and I didn't have the patience for walking today, so I jogged. Feel fine in the rest of my body but quite blocked in my ears and nose, so I guess I'll just have to be careful it doesnt turn into anything else. Really nice morning!

15min run, 2*9/1min tempo, 15min run. Had a massive day at uni yet again and it was dark so this was on the treadmill, but I actually didn't mind it! Felt relatively ok too so thats nice, although my back is real sore for some reason.

Half intervals session before uni. 3x3/1. Felt pretty crappy, a mix between being a lot slower now and not having woken up my legs properly. An easier week this week has come at a good time I think, week 9 stress has me feeling like I could be getting a cold. Plus my whole body seems to be a bit sore from running again sadly, my joints and my back are a bit worse for wear. It's kinda like a fresh start so I'm really going to make sure I'm better with stretching now!

Very appropriately timed rest day with all the uni work and interning, although I still haven't got nearly enough done. Legs were incredibly achy last night after the long run, weird.

Running long 1:21:30 [3]

Got called into work until 3pm and had to quickly have some lunch when I finished, and then I had to wait out the end of 10mila because it was just too exciting to leave!! The plan ended up being to run to the gym and finish off the last 30 or so on the treadmill when it got too dark, but then I realised that the gym was going to shut at 5 so I had to settle for a very loopy 55min around the trails near home with the last 25 in the street lights. Joints were super achy by the end, probably a combination of the cold and standing at work and at a festival yesterday. Happy enough with how I was feeling at the end otherwise though.
