Used all my will power to stay smart and not do parkrun. Tried to work extra hard in this to make up for it. Worked well for my foot, noticed it a little when standing but that wasn't too often. Unfortunately it made the back tingling thing worse though, classic.

Running warm up/down 34:00 [3]

20min wu with drills, 14min warm down. So so so hard to make myself do a warm down today, feeling very flat at the end.

Running intervals 28:00 [3]

Pyramid intervals at Walka. 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2, 1min w/ 1min recovery. Happy with the first half but was very gone on the second 4minuter. Redeemed myself ever so slightly on the last 2 and 1min efforts though. Buggered.

Note

Bad arch/heel pain again in my right foot. Fine after it warmed up again but I could feel it a bit just walking around before training this morning and it's the same now. Think i'll find a physio next week, and maybe consider a cycle or something instead of parkrun tomorrow.

Pre-breaky jog from home. Arch / heel pain in my right foot for the first 5 minutes wasn't ideal, but once again when it warmed up it was fine. Also have been getting this super weird tingling thing going on near my left shoulder blade when i finish a run... It almost feels numb, so strange!

Bad accident meant crazy traffic and that we missed a lot of the first half, and then I played pretty shocking when we did get there!

So I was four minutes early, oooooooops. Did not at all expect to get so close to clearing the map so I left out three 1 pointers relatively early on, and then it was it a bit hard to get back to them once I realised how early i'd be. I definitely should've gone for one more, perhaps 2 but that would've been pushing it. Oh well!

15min warm up with drills and the warm down. A bit pressed for time so a little shorter.

Hills from home. Was sweating before I even left the house and i'm getting pretty sick of waking up in the night because its so hot, so I anticipated a pretty dodgy session. Ended up feeling pretty alright though and was happy with the distances. 5 x 1min, 10 x 30sec. Legs were jelly on the downhills!

Running long 1:40:38 [3] 16.93 km (5:57 / km) +325m 5:25 / km

A solo effort at Glenrock. Legs were really stiff to get going for the first 5mins, the bottom of my right foot especially so I think maybe I should consider seeing about that soon ish. Ended up feeling ok apart from being a tad uncoordinated on the rocks at times. Went early enough to not find the heat completely unbearable but it was definitely hard work, grabbed a quick drink half way at the car. Struggled in the last 7 or so minutes. Very happy to finish!
