Running (Maitland Parkrun) 21:35 [3] 5.0 km (4:19 / km) +22m 4:13 / km

Was not keen for parkrun at all, but was less keen to try and work this hard in a session alone so I made myself get out the door. Wasn't really set up for a good one, legs took ages to warm up and there were no bananas at home so I had to have toast beforehand which is usually super rough on my belly when I eat it so close to running, but it ended up going ok! Felt comfortable for the first 3km, slowed a little between the 3 and 4km mark but still managed to end up with about a 50sec pb for Maitland.

Jog before work at walka. Calves were feeling really sore at the start, as was the arch on my right foot. Warmed up fine after 5minutes but my legs still felt a bit tired for the rest of it. So warm already, not unbearable but I wouldn't have wanted to start any later. Also my garmin strap broke :'(

First game of the summer comp! We were a little rusty, I personally had more falls than I did intercepts... but it was fun!

Found it tough to pick a good route this week! Not sure I made a good decision but I wasn't late and I think that made a bit of a difference points-wise. Felt alright running today, wasn't particularly speedy at times but I didn't hit struggle street this week. My nice pink shoes are now brown though which is a bit of a downer...

Flyers intervals again, 6x 800m for me. The full session was 8 but my speed seems to be lacking in enough quality let alone if I tried to do 6.4km worth. Struggled today, only 60sec recovery and a hot headwind. The first two were good, the middle ones just ok and the last was a bit of a dud. Got a bit of a pain in my back which made the last two that little more of a struggle. Really liking that i've worked out who to try to hang on to at these sessions though!

Running long 1:24:00 [3] 15.05 km (5:35 / km) +97m 5:24 / km

Long run from home, put on my brave face and did most of it on the Ashtonfield tracks too despite the worry of snakes and motorbikes. Haven't had the greatest sleeping pattern the last few days so surprised to have felt alright. The last 10mins were a bit of a struggle though in the heat, plus I was getting pretty thirsty and a little hungry by that stage too. Surprisingly went pretty quick despite having to loop around a bit to get 80mins on those tracks, mum's company for the first 30mins was a help. Straight to the pool when i got home, exhausted!
