Orienteering race (NZ QB day 1) 46:53 [3]

Absolutely butchered the first control which was less than 100m. Had just psyched myself out so badly and didn't even think about what i should be navigating by I just looked at the terrain and freaked out. Felt alot more comfortable once I was out of the open areas but managed to make a few more mistakes. Need to be more confident!

Kinda planning on having time for a little jog once we got to our accommodation but it didn't end up happening until about 7pm and dinner seemed more important!

Very happy to stop looking at my computer and get to do this! Just a run from home. Found a few hills and worked hard. Turned out to be a pretty nice day!

The usual laps and drills.

Running intervals 20:00 [3]

Intervals with Macey at the track! 8x 300m, times between 61 and 63. Couldn't work out how to breathe properly for the first half but my legs were feeling pretty alright. Couldn't get going much faster but they held up well to the end.

Orienteering race (NOL 12) 1:39:05 [3]

Another cool map and super tough terrain! Much more pleased with today's run. Started off pretty nervous and was off on a few controls in the first half. Lost a bit of time on a few slower route choices but i'm pleased to have not made a reeeally bad error. Started to really fatigue on the way to 12 and my last loop was pretty pathetic physically, my line in winsplits just gradually goes further and further down... But I do still feel like i'm getting stronger!
