Running warm up/down 26:30 [3]

Had Kas and Andrew for company on the warm down and chatted about how we're the real three dedicated Newcastle orienteers showing up for parkrun (cough Macey ;)). Such a nice morning!

Running race 21:36 [3]

Got myself a pb at Newy parkrun by quite a bit which is nice! Felt like the wind was a struggle but it was possibly just me being tired. Went out maybe a bit fast in the first km and slowed down a little in the last two, but still feeling pretty positive!

25mins on the rower - 5min, 10x 60/30, 5min. Then a bit of everything strength.

1km broken up in two. Swimming makes me so sleepy!

Running tempo 55:14 [3]

Figured if i could deal with the pain of my burnt legs enough to wear pants all day at uni then I could put on a pair of tights and go running. Did yesterdays session out at walka; included 2x 13min tempo's in the middle, 2min between each. Went straight from Uni so wasn't feeling particularly energetic at the start but really happy with how it went in the end. Especially considering a good 4min of each tempo effort was straight into the wind.

Note

Had an incident today resulting in a very hot cup of tea in my lap. Haven't been able to go 5mins without something cold on my legs to stop the stinging, and am yet to put pants back on. Stupidest thing to stop a training session. Not happy jan.

Have a real bad case of DOMS from yesterday. Warmed up a bit on the walk home from the train so i did some yoga. It was goooooood.

Running warm up/down 33:36 [3]

Running intervals 34:12 [3]

A tough session, a sore body, super strong wind and a bit of a stitch made it seem like it'd be a real miserable time but the top notch company made up for it all! Pyramid intervals at the track with Macey, Tamara and Kas.
200m, 400m, 600m, 800m and back down. The rest felt very generous but my legs couldn't really take much advantage of it. I fatigued, but it was pretty tempting to take out the second 800 so glad to have got it done!

Orienteering 45:17 [3]

Had just about zero energy today. Pushed through and ran alright for the first two but I made a mistake in the circle at the end of the long leg and lost just about all momentum, navigational and physical. Fair few track running legs so maybe I was just a little disinterested. But I did fall asleep on the way home in the car so I dunno what's going on!
