Then a series of two-control intervals out at brush creek. Recovery was decent, just walked to the start of the next one with mum. Went alright but i felt a little flat, not sure if it's because my arms and shoulders are tired from yesterday so that made me just feel the same all over, but i would've been happier if i felt like i could push harder.
After those we jogged to another spot on the map and did another little exercise putting out the controls. Good fun!
Small 6 min warm down, super lucky to just miss the rain! :)
Took advantage of the fact there was no hurricane like weather and did this outside in the sun. A bit wary of some ankle soreness so i thought another day without impact from running would be good.
Swimming45:00 [3]
2km swim at a 25m pool, so i did 4 sets of 20 laps. It had been way too long since i've swum! I feel like my arms will be sore tomorrow.
15 x 200m, twas a big session! We all had a minute recovery from when i finished, the boys did another 10 after i finished though. A pretty strong wind on every first 200m which made it tough, i looked and my first one was two seconds slower than the second! The times were ok for me at least aha, pretty sure they were all between 38 and 42. The air was super cold though, pretty happy to get through it when i forgot to have a ventolin!
Spent the day out at the Hunter Valley champs. Thought it'd be good to run around with a map, shame about the ridiculously strong and cold wind though! aha. I just ran on the tracks and when i got into the sections where the students were i stopped a couple of times to make sure they were all good, but i stopped my watch whenever i stopped running. Made myself go up the really long hill just off the map at the start of the run, felt a whole lot less fresh after that
Club event at Blue Gum Hills. So fun! A cool map and a good course by Gus :) Made a bit of an error on number 6, wasn't too sure on where i came off the track and ended up at the cliffs to the right of my control instead. From then on i was alright navigationally, just stopped short on a couple and maybe lost a bit on small route choice decisions. Really good training with the hills and the long run along along the highway to push myself on!
