Good news first: I ran for a whole minute during my walk today! Hurts a tad with impact and I felt like a complete blob but I'll still celebrate it!

Bad news: My sinus issues have made a return. Have an appointment to see a specialist again in two weeks but because the last treatment didn't work and kind of made all these other problems worse I may potentially need an op. But we'll see.

This year is a complete write-off.

Went for a walk today wooooo. Going to have to pick a different loop tomorrow though, not ideal to walk past a house with fertiliser on their lawn when you're moving as slowly as I was.

Soooo I had another infection that had to be drained like the other week. It didn't make me sick like last time and was nowhere near as big or deep (I don't think), so I was in and out of hospital in one day and I'm already up and about and moving alot better than I was. I still have nurses coming around to 'pack' the other wound, and they'll take the drain out of this new one in a week and then start doing the same until they both heal from the inside out. Hopefully this is actually it this time!
Decided the Ultralong weekend is now probably not going to happen, and I'm going to be running W21A at Aus champs. Preparation has not been ideal...

A bit of a mess of a week. To summarise a very round-a-bout series of events: There was a kind of bubble of infection quite deep under my skin making me a bit ill which needed some surgery. Came home this morning, still a little bit sore but will have all the surgical stuff removed Monday/Tuesday and then will just have to wait for it to heal from the inside out before I start running again. He seemed to think 1-2 weeks maybe. Aus champs is looking like a bit of a dud, but treating this as my fresh start - my body is now a temple.
