Such a fun game! I was GK then GS, kinda hard switching from one to the other! Felt fine sickness wise during the game but i didn't have a ventolin so probably good i didn't have to do much more running.

I didnt have work today so i decided to do my first ever pilates class at the gym, i'm a rookie at this too. Alot of it was using the bosu balls and i'm very prone to shaking when i get fatigued so that was a bit of a challenge... Really enjoyed it though, i feel like i'll be sore tomorrow.

Running intervals 49:38 [3]

Track intervals with Josh, Malin and Macey at Glendale. The session was 400's in a 2:30 cycle, i'm still not feeling 100% so i just skipped every third. Times were 1.25, 1.26, 1.24, 1.28, 1.25, 1.29 so it was a little but good enough session. Stopped at the right amount though i think, my chest got a bit too sore and tight in the last one. Time includes warm up and down.

Little jog from home. I dont think i feel a heap better but i'm definitely not worse! Mostly just blocked ears and a bit tight in the chest but i felt comfortable enough while running. And it was an alright pace thank goodness, been feeling pretty shitty about all the breaks in my training since easter...

Strength at home because i would miss the gym class because of work. Feeling a bit better today i think, but still a bit blocked in the back of my head and ears and stuff...

Thought a cycle class might be a good option. Really tough class and i felt alright! A bit cough-y at times but really happy to feel like i had a proper workout again!

NOY at the Chimney, went out on the short for some orienteering practise at least. Still pretty stuffed up in the head and tight in the chest, and still real cranky about it. Still managed to make a few mistakes though even as slow as i was going! Some were just because it was a bit of a struggle to place what was going on on the ground, but a few compass errors which wasn't good. Think i got pushed around too much with the green...

Joined the Dawsons and Jonses for some sprint training in Sydney! Unfortunately i've picked up a bit of a cold, things aren't going great :( Felt pretty stuffed up in the head so the focus was more on the navigation which went pretty good. I just got real exhausted...

Second sprint was at UNSW. Decided to make it more of an intervals session and gave myself a minute at controls 4, 8 and 12 so i could get through the whole course. Navigated ok i think, energy just deteriorated pretty quick and i was struggling at the end.

Run from home with dad. Fairly hilly loop so it felt like good training which is good because it was meant to be intervals today... Added some 1min surges to get a bit of speed in the legs. Didn't feel particularly fast in the surges but majority of them were uphill and it was tough to have to keep with dad after them.

Pretty content with the whole no-intervals decision now though. This is what Smyth looked like when mum went to the gym this arvo!

Really fun to be back! Got to step out of the goal circle and play WD for a half woooo! Then back to GK in the second half.

A loop with Dad and then an extra bit by myself around the streets from home. Plenty to see, it's pretty messy around. Managed to get back just before the rain started again, not one drop for my whole run!

7mins before the class and 23 after on a treadmill at the gym. Would not love doing much more than that on a treadmill!!

State League at Wallaroo. Think i started off pretty alright, really enjoyed the start! Stuffed a little at the end of number 14, i went to a control lower than mine in the watercourse. 17 and 18 were the bad ones though. Drifted on my compass to 17 and then didnt make myself sure where i crossed the watercourse before the control, so ended up going up the spur really really slowly not sure how far up the control was. Then i think i left 17 in too much of a hurry and ended up missing seeing a minor watercourse junction and way way waaaaaay overrunning 18. Lost about 5 mins on a tiny leg :| Finished off ok after that which i guess is a plus.

Unfortunately calves got really bad around 9-10, mightve done my ankle tape too tight or i didnt warm up enough or i started off too hard, not too sure but it hasn't been that bad in a while! :( Feet went numb at around half an hour so at least it wasn't painful for the rest, just pretty uncomfortable...

Middle Distance at Pelaw Main. Super fun course from Macey! Felt a bit stop start because there were just so many controls, relatively happy with how i went with my exit direction at least. Lost a bit of time on number 13, it was on a boulder and i overcorrected and ran to what was the only other boulder on the map instead. Legs felt pretty fatigued pretty early!

Jock left the controls out from the juniors training this morning at Abernethy so i went out after work and did the course. It was about 28mins and then i did a bit extra of surges and collected some controls. Navigation was just ok, i made a few errors with my compass and in the circle again. Calves felt much better today though.

Orienteering 42:36 [3]

Joined in on the juniors training for the day. First was a course out at Astleys Tower. It was pretty warm and I got a bit thirsty and finished pretty slowly. Legs were feeling a bit fatigued and my calves were pretty sore. Navigation was alright, i just made a few errors in the circles of some of the short legs through the watercourses. Worried i'm being a bit too safe on the longer legs though, i'll have to work on my confidence a bit more i think!

Then a really fun little course at Southams Road, kind of like a bush sprint! Feeling alot better after this one, i stopped a little early on the first one but had much better control flow and felt like i was moving heaps better. Good fun!

16min mona at walka. Unfortunately was no where near as good as when i did it before easter! Didn't feel very flash in the stomach, and the filthy smell of the lake probably wasn't helping. But my legs were feeling a bit fatigued and not very speedy at all...

About a 12 min warm down with a bit of technique jogging in there too.

Run at Sugarloaf with Malin and Josh too for the first section. Felt a bit off in the belly and weak in the legs before we started but i got in to it pretty good. Had to hold my cheeks on the downhills to prevent a bit of jarring in my mouth but it's feeling pretty good today, no where near as much beating going on as yesterday! Feels really good and such a relief to have done a proper run again :)

Felt a little flat for my first real session after easter which wasnt great! Just not super amounts of energy in the legs at alll, and i felt a bit sick at a few times. The constant throbbing in my face and neck probably wasn't helping, but at least it wasn't an ache today just pretty uncomfortable. Back to running tomorrow i think!

Some strength at walka after a half hour walk and then some more at home. Tried jogging a couple of times but the jarring was just a bit too much for my mouth. Even a couple of the strength exercises were a no go, it's amazing how many things strain your jaw! Pretty sure ill be right to at least do a cycle class tomorrow though, getting a bit sick of this now...

On a much much muuuuuch more exciting note i booked flights last night :D

Had to have all my wisdom teeth out this morning... Not super keen on the whole 'no running' thing but i thought it was probably the best time to have it done, especially because I went to the dentist last wednesday and he tried to take them out then! But I had it done at 11am, it's currently 3pm and i still can't feel my face...

Orienteering race 45:15 [3]

Day3: Relay Distance
A bit bummed this was how i finish the weekend. Not a super bad run navigationally, just a few sloppy errors, but i was running way way waaaaay too conservatively! I'd never been last in a chasing start and all that so i got pretty nervous at the start and went out there with the idea that i just didn't want to make a mistake so i didn't blow it. I ended up losing so much time on each leg though because of how fast it was, I wasn't really attacking at all! Good lesson to learn though, and i'm still feeling pretty positive about how easter went :)

Day2: Long
Pretty chuffed to get a win! Definitely wasn't running as fast as some of the others but i had a relatively clean run. Over 2 mins down on the quickest time on number 7, not too sure whether that was route choice or my hill fitness though. Possibly went a little too wide on number 9 too but i wanted to be sure where i crossed the watercourse so i could be sure on my bearing. Happy with how i kept it together in the last loop though for sure.

Day1 Middle.
Pretty happy with this one! I felt pretty in control most of the race. Drifted a little too far left on the way to two and lost a bit of confidence and stopped too early on 13 but im happy! Seemed to cope pretty alright with the climb too which is nice

Orienteering race 18:07 [3]

Prologue.
Started off a bit shaky and actually punched the guys first control before my own! Lost a bit of time on the splits but actually thankful that happened, kind of made me snap into it a bit better. An ok run but i faded real bad physically in the buildings and got a bit sloppy with the nav too. First time losing a race in the finish chute, and it felt rough!

Easy 15min then 3x20 sec surges, another 10 min jog and 3 more surges. Unfortunately my calves felt ridiculously tight, no idea why... Pretty excited for tomorrow though!
