Longer run from home with dad. He made sure we went up most of the toughest hills Ashtonfield has to offer so it was pretty tough! Super nice morning for it and i got back just in time to see the first finisher of the Sydney marathon!

Orienteering 45:00 [3]

Had a go at some ints at Barnsley. Made 5 loops each of 5 or 6 controls that were used for the club event two weeks ago. The first two loops were all good, the last three quite the opposite. Hard features to find without tapes maybe but i just had shocking technique for the last three!

Running 41:21 [3]

3km jog around to the oval, and then i pushed it for three loops up to the water tower and one lap of the oval. I went up the road to the water tower so it was a bit of a longer hill and down the dirt track i usually do hills on. I think each loop was just under 1km so it ended up being about 3.5km with the oval. And then i just ran home again :)

Run around Ashtonfield with Dad. Nice loop on some dirt tracks if you cancel out the smell of the tip. My stomach was making all sorts of noises in the last 10 minutes, super strange.

Calves were rather tight so i opted for a gym class with mum involving some weights and lunges and abs. Pretty confident i had the lightest weights on my bar out of everyone in the class but im completely ok with it, my arms were jelly...

Tas relay champs. I have had better runs... Lost a bit of time on number 6 i think it was, and then a heap in the last loop! Im definitely not aggressive enough in the bush ive decided. Pretty awesome area though, pretty annoyed i didnt quite get it right because it was super fun

Tas long Champs. Super exhausting! Lost a bit of time on number 3 I just wasn't positive which spur i was running down on my way to cross the thick gully so was super hesitant. Didnt end up finding the crossing point anyway so it was a huge waste of time. Then i lost a bit on number 5 too because i kept on putting off climbing up the hill. Pretty enjoyable!!

About a 20 min jog, then 5x20second efforts and then the rest of the way home. Could feel my ankle again but it didnt feel like i should stop today which was good enough. Possible that i was running a little different though, tried to relax the lower muscles in my left leg

Running 28:15 [3]

First 20 minutes with josh but then i thought it was best i stop. Ive had a bit of a niggle on the inside of my ankle for a few days and thought with a few days off running it'd warm up alright but that wasn't the case. It feels like its more the bone than the muscle but i have a feeling its from my orthotics, they've just gotten a bit too old i think... Had another bit of a jog after a stretch thinking it may have magically disappeared but not quite unfortunately

Orienteering 59:11 [3]

Last club event today! An hour score course at Barnsley. I chose the 'tricky' version so it was a mixture of map memory, contour only and compass work with only detail in the circle. I was not feeling too fantastic today even after a solid 10 hours of sleep last night so this was like the best kind of training for me. Went to 28 first and lost a fair bit of time there, but i only left out 16 and 18 which were both part of the map memory section. I just couldnt quite work out how i would get from them to the compass controls because they didnt have maps at them and i didnt have them, or any detail near them, on my map... Super cool training though!

Had to go to uni to pick up some video equipment so i thought i may as well swim while i was there. A bit busy but it was ok, i just did 2 x 20laps. Gosh my arms are weak...

Out at walka, josh and i did a killer passing high five! Did a loop up the top to the lake, then a lap of the lake harder, and then ran the rest back to the car.

A run from home. Kind of thought my legs felt slightly more energised walking around all day than when i actually started running... but it went pretty well. The biggest hill was into the wind which was just fantastic
