Orienteering 44:42 [3] 6.6 km (6:46 / km)

I got rostered on to work in the morning so i couldn't get to the club event but dad set a course out at Belford and him and mum put controls out and everything so I could still get an orienteer in. Think i ended up running 7.1km so i'm pretty happy with how it went. Although my legs didn't really have it in them to go super fast from yesterday, but i think i was moving pretty consistently. Can't say i'm all that much of a fan of running with the gopro though, got an awful headache!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

About a 9 min warm up and a little warm down.

Running long 1:13:34 [3]

Out at Sugarloaf, mum came with me for the most of it :) we both realised that i tend to go good at the start and the finish, but in the middle of my runs i slow down... I was pretty happy with how i felt though, up the hills too. Plus, the sunset was absolutely amazing! Best way to finish the run :)

Running warm up/down 18:00 [3]

Just running around the tracks a bit.

Running intervals (Terrain Ints) 16:00 [3]

Went to Pelaw Main with mum after school for some terrain intervals. I just rain around some of the close controls that were on my map from the coalfields classic. Intervals were 3min, 2min, 90sec, 60sec, 30sec. Twas a good place to go, a heap of tracks and short uphill and downhill legs. Goooooooood fun :)

cycling (Cycle class at the gym) 45:00 [3]

It was so hot in the cycle room today!
It was like an interval-ish type class, nice and tough.

Orienteering 37:34 [3]

State League #8
Not too bad of a run but i was a bit off the pace. Think i lost most of my time on the long leg wasting time trying to go straight when I ended up drifting out to the track anyway, and on number 8 going around the rocks. Seems i might tend to slow down in the middle of the course too much maybe... Was relatively happy with how i was running at other times in the course though, and my compassing wasn't too off to get to all the termite mounds :)

Orienteering 1:12:59 [3] 6.45 km (11:19 / km) +180m 9:56 / km

State League #7
Didn't go too badly apart from losing about 6 minutes on number 6. I wasted a heap of time trying to work out which of the tiny bike tracks i was and then i was too far past the control circle around other cliffs for a bit too. Other than that i just lost some time going through green when i could've gone around, but it was a bit hard to work out anyway because of how different it all seemed. Was happy with how i felt running on the tracks for the long leg though so thats nice :)

Orienteering (Sprint) 16:21 [3] 2.7 km (6:03 / km)

State League #6
Pretty happy with my run! I felt better from number 2 onwards, i realised i wasn't making good enough plans so improved on that. Plus i was more conscious of my speed so i tried to push it a bit more. Twas a pretty fun map! Minus the angry cow at the start that sounded like a lion when it moo'd.

Running 25:00 [3]

Easy 20 minute-ish run and then 4 x 20second surges. Kinda hard to leave the house when mum was in her pyjamas and had a cuppa when i was leaving...

Running 43:00 [3]

Fairly hard run around ashtonfield streets, and some on tracks. Put some nice hills in there too so my legs felt pretty jelly when i finished. I could feel my legs were kinda sore from yesterday too, a good stretch session is in order!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

About 10 min warm up and 5 down, the people who had access to the lights wanted to turn them off to leave. I thought they were just automatic and thought it was super convenient to run that late in light, so it's a shame they mightn't always be on. It gets a bit dark and scary at the oval sometimes...

Running intervals 20:00 [3]

200m, 400m, 600m, 400m, 200m with 400m jog recovery between each. Super hard to get going faster again after the 400m jogs, it was so much easier and nicer aha. A good tough session. I was worried that i'd feel a bit stuffed up in the head, but i didnt really notice it, maybe the training did me good!

Note
(rest day)

Switched thursday's rest day with today, i felt a bit like a cold was coming on. I think it's all just from being busy and tired from a heap of school work and all that... Two major projects was perhaps not the brightest idea, and everything seems to be due at once! I can't wait for them to be finished and handed in, ahhhhhhh, it will be the biggest relief.

cycling 45:00 [3]

A cycle class seemed like a better option than a swim again, winter's here and im weak. Pretty tough class, enjoyed it.

Orienteering 56:12 [3]

NOY 5 at Stanford Scrubs.
I can never feel like i orienteer well on this map so the pouring rain didn't really help, especially when it made the tracks super slippery. First two controls i was happy with, but then when there was less to navigate off i struggled. Lost like 6 minutes on number 5 i think, i wanted to practise my bearings and decided to go straight, however the green was really hard to decipher and ended up having to go in to the control from the track anyway after messing around for a bit. Thought i improved a bit more towards the end though and i picked up my flow and pushed myself a bit more, only to be stumped by the last control in the wrong spot. Luckily i didn't spend quite as much time there as mum on her course, but i was thankful to find it!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Not going to lie it was a pretty tough warm up. Around King Edward park. Warm up was about 14minutes and the warm down was a bit slack, we were doing some jogging for some video footage (thanks guys).

Running hills 20:00 [3]

Awesome hills session at King Edward with Macey, Angus, Sal, and Kazza. It was tough! Long hills first with jogging down recovery, i did 4. The first one was just under a minute but I dont think i got any of the others that fast. I think number 3 was around 1:10. Then short hills, four again for me. Im not too sure how long they were, maybe like 20 seconds? Started them all with angus and he really made me push myself to try to keep up. He smashed the last one though, i had no hope! So good doing hills with people, i love group sessions! :)
I forgot to stop my watch so im not really sure how long to log this for though...
