orienteering race 23:36 [4] *** 2.6 km (9:05 / km) +60m 8:08 / km
shoes: Pegasus

Hard 6/7 course (M60) - cautious at start to get stairs & levels right - no big mistakes but no real speed either

map was "Sugar Rush" on site of former CSR sugar refinery at Pyrmont - real mix of old buildings & new developments, with a few big sandstone cliffs and new & old wharfs - some parts on open streets so always had to be aware of traffic while concentrating on navigation

lots of stairs - not really comfortable going down & not fast enough going up - next time on a map with lots of stairs will have to consider this in route choice

5k parkrun race ("Butt Run) 34:48 [4] 5.2 km (6:42 / km) +150m 5:51 / km
shoes: Pegasus

Blackbutt Park Run (nominal 5 km) - steady effort except for last km down-hill - no walking but some of the running uphill was barely faster - 1:30 pb so competition over last couple of weeks must have had some effect.
